UPM Energy's subsidiary UPM Wind East is developing a wind farm with co-located battery in Pyykkimäki. The project's planning area is located approximately 15 km south of the center of Keitele on the border of Vesanto and Keitele municipalities. The project will consist of 13–16 wind turbines, with a total production capacity of approximately 104–160 MW, mainly in a forest area owned by UPM.
